How payment works
- Advance payment before work starts. The first month of a retainer, or the full fee on a fixed-price project, is paid before anything begins. This is not negotiable and it protects both of us.
- Retainers are invoiced monthly in advance thereafter, due on receipt.
- Ad budget is completely separate. It sits on your own card, in your own ad account, billed by Meta or Google directly — never through me.
- Invoiced in GBP for UK clients and USD for US clients. Bank charges and conversion costs sit with the payer.
- Work may be paused on invoices more than 14 days overdue.
Contracts and notice
- No long lock-in. Retainers run month to month with one month’s written notice on either side.
- Scope, timeline and price are agreed in writing before work starts, and the price does not move afterwards.
- Work already completed and the current month’s fee are not refundable — which is exactly why the scope is written down first.
Access and ownership
- Partner access only. I never ask for your passwords and would not accept them if offered.
- Everything is built inside accounts you own — campaigns, pixel data, audiences, keyword research, content.
- If we stop working together I remove my access and nothing else changes. No rebuild fee, no hostage situation.
Payment and contracts, answered.
Who pays for the ad budget?
You do, directly. Your card sits on your own ad account inside your own Business Manager, and I take partner access to run the campaigns. You see every pound spent in real time, and you keep full ownership if we ever stop working together.
Can I hire you for one project instead of a retainer?
Yes. Account and tracking setup, an SEO audit, a Business Manager recovery, or a landing page build are all available as one-off projects with a fixed price agreed before work begins.
Are you VAT registered?
No. I invoice as an overseas sole trader, so invoices carry no UK VAT. If you're a VAT-registered UK business, your accountant will normally handle this under the reverse charge rules — worth a quick check with them before the first invoice.
Is there a minimum contract?
No long lock-in. Retainers run month to month with one month's notice on either side. The only fixed rule is that the first month is paid in advance before work starts.
What happens to my accounts if we stop working together?
Nothing changes. Everything was built inside accounts you own, so you keep the campaigns, the pixel data, the audiences, the keyword research and the rank tracking sheet. I remove my partner access and that's it — no hostage situation, no rebuild fee.
